NERD DAY

Today we are having our 2^nd pep rally, and the theme for the pep rally this week is NERD DAY!  Check out some of the cute little “NERDS” walking around campus!  Good luck to our JJHS Bullpups  this evening against the Hornets!

Lunch Bunch

I am so excited to be starting a group called "Lunch Bunch" this year.  This group is for students who are new to Jefferson ISD.  We will get to eat lunch together once a week for the first semester of school and talk about how things are going for all of our new students.  Topics of discussion will be things like making new friends, ways to get involved, obstacles to overcome, and many other things that go along with being new to a school.   I hope this makes all of our new students feel right at home and know that we are so glad they are at JJHS!

What an EXCITING Week!

The third week of school is coming to an end.  Students have been working hard in class!    On Thursday I was able to visit with all of the 5th graders.  We talked about and made plans for all of them to have a successful school year!  Some students won  prizes to help keep them organized this year (planners, pencil boxes, dividers, etc...).  I will be checking in on them from time to time to make sure they are working towards the goals we made yesterday in class!

Today students got a real treat!  They attended a Team Impact assembly.  They watched a former NFL player and a former WWE Wrestler do some amazing feats.  One of them broke a baseball in half with his hands!  The kids were amazed at the strength of these men.  After watching these great things Team Impact talked to students about following their dreams and making choices that were dream "MAKERS" not dream "TAKERS".  They also gave ALL of the students free tickets to take their family to see Team Impact this weekend.  Check out the pictures below!

Week Two!

Week two is almost over!  GREAT NEWS!  The deadline to turn in fundraisers has been extended to September 13^th! 

One week from today Team Impact will be on our campus.  Team Impact is a group of entertaining athletes (former NFL players, former WWE stars, and champion power-lifters) who speak to students across the nation about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and the importance of academic excellence.  We are so excited to have this talented group come to share their inspirational message with our student body.  

The deadline for schedule changes is Monday, September 9^th!
